Can men and women do the same workouts?

A lot of people assume that men and women should have different workout regimens, well, because they are different.  All your exercise choice and style should depend on either your goals, weak areas, or both.

So sure, if a guy is trying to bulk up his upper body and a female is trying to lose weight, they won't be doing the exact same exercises for each workout every day of the week.  What most people don't understand is that all basic movements are good for everyone.  So even if two people do have different goals, doing things like building lower body strength, improving core strength, and fixing posture get your body closer to any goal you may have because it improves the entire system as a whole.  Everyone should be doing these exercises because they allow you to reach your goals whatever they may be.

Therefore, generally in my opinion 75% of male vs. female workouts are the same.  The only real differences are weight amounts.  Other than that, building up endurance, improving core strength, improving flexibility, and addressing movement issues is necessary no matter who you are or what you're doing.
