I grew up on the heavy side.  My entire childhood and adolescence I was 20-40 pounds overweight.  I wasn't happy, and was constantly trying to lose weight.  I struggled for years until I hit a breaking point. I was fed up and decided to change my life.

I quit the football team and started running cross country.  I started long distance running and weight lifting, and I never looked back.  My sophomore year of college I studied to become a personal trainer and got a NASM certification.  From there I started doing lots of research, reading, and experimentation on fitness and exercise.  I did much of my learning while personal training at Equinox.  All the while training lots of clients, getting people results and changing lives through fitness.

I got my MBA and realized I have accumulated a huge amount of valuable information between training clients, great mentors, formal education, certifications, and personal experience.  I have quite a story to tell, because despite the countless exercise programs, fad diets, supplements, and wearable tech; obesity, heart disease, and diabetes are still a major threat to American's health.  Part of that number of people are those that are unhappy with their weight but can't seem to change it.

I realized that, instead of giving people generic routines, or crash and burn diets; people need to be taught why and how these things works so they can figure out the best system for themselves.  Getting lasting results is all about making smart, and steady changes over time.  That's what lasts, and will actually get you what you're looking for in the long run.

So I wrote a book, it talks about everything I've learned over the years plus tons of additional research.  It took me about 4 years to write, but I think it will accomplish what I set out to do. That is, to get people to see and understand fitness and lifestyle like a personal trainer.  Inside the Mind of A Personal Trainer WILL change how you view and approach not only your exercise but your lifestyle in general. Order the book and sign up for the newsletter to get weekly tips, secrets, and strategies for your health and lifestyle.
