The importance of a gym buddy!

When embarking on your fitness journey, it's essential to remember tips to help keep you motivated and focused on your goals.  One HUGE help can be getting a workout buddy.  This can be anyone from a family member, friend, coworker, or even gym acquaintance.

Ideally this gym buddy is in a similar place that you're in; wanting to change their bodies and have a similar weekly schedule to you.  Having a workout buddy is great for accountability and motivation, and can also even help with diet accountability if you guys communicate enough. The trick is being able to rely each other for support! It's all just words and nonsense until both of you actually start working out regularly. Don't talk the talk if you're not gonna walk the walk!

Potential pitfall: don't let your buddy be lazy! If you have a workout planned, its your job to be there and to motivate your gym buddy to do the same.  If they don't workout though, that doesn't mean you shouldn't too! Stay consistent, sometimes you need to make your workout buddy feel a little guilty for missing planned workouts and go by yourself.

Moral of the story: there is strength in numbers! Try getting a workout buddy, see how you like it and if it makes life a little easier for you.
